Long-Term Care Insurance
Medicare covers only a very limited amount of skilled nursing care and Medicaid is generally intended to help only those individuals with limited means. Private health insurance does not always cover long-term care or excludes care provided in the home or in assisted living. Long-term care insurance policies offer a variety of coverage options and, in some cases, may be more affordable than expected.

- Seek more information on Nebraska’s new Long-Term Care Partnership option, which provides financial incentives for purchasing insurance coverage
- Explore insurance options for meeting future long-term care needs
